These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Legal Kairos platform ("Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and legally competent to enter a contract under the Indian Contract Act, 1872. Lawyer accounts must comply with the Advocates Act, 1961 and Bar Council of India rules.
2. Accounts
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials.
- You must enable 2FA for admin and lawyer accounts handling client data.
- You may not share accounts, resell access, or create accounts on behalf of others without consent.
3. Acceptable use
You will not:
- Upload content you do not have the right to process (including third-party confidential material).
- Use the platform to generate fraudulent, misleading, defamatory or unlawful documents.
- Attempt to bypass access controls, scrape data belonging to other users, or reverse-engineer the Service.
- Use the Service to provide legal advice to clients without independent professional review.
4. AI outputs — no legal advice
AI-generated drafts, summaries, research packs and citations are informational aids, not legal advice. Every output must be reviewed and approved by a qualified advocate before use. Legal Kairos is not a law firm and does not create an attorney-client relationship with any user.
5. Subscriptions and payment
- Plans (Free, Starter, Pro, Enterprise) are billed monthly or yearly as chosen.
- Payments are non-refundable except as set out in our Refund Policy.
- We may change pricing with 30 days notice; existing subscription periods remain at the original price.
6. Content ownership
- You retain all rights in the documents and data you upload.
- You grant us a limited licence to process this content solely to provide the Service.
- AI outputs generated for you are owned by you, subject to third-party rights in underlying materials.
7. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate access for breach of these Terms, non-payment, or activity that endangers other users. You may cancel your account at any time from account settings.
8. Warranties and liability
The Service is provided "as is". To the extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim is limited to fees you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or loss-of-profits damages.
9. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Courts at Delhi have exclusive jurisdiction, subject to arbitration under the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996 where applicable.
10. Changes
We may update these Terms; material changes will be notified by email or in-app notice at least 15 days in advance.
